Privacy policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data SL Consultings collects when you visit slconsultings.uk or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
01Who we are
SL Consultings Ltd (“SL Consultings”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 14073575), with our registered office at 253 Peterborough Road, Carshalton, England, SM5 1DF. We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
For any question about this policy or your data, email info@sllconsultings.com.
02What we collect
When you request a roadmap
The enquiry form asks for:
- your full name
- your email address
- your company name (optional)
- the service area you’re interested in
- your message
With each enquiry we also record the time it was sent, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page you sent it from. These help us spot spam and fix problems with the form.
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.
03How we use it and why
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry, sending a confirmation email and arranging your roadmap session | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Keeping a record of enquiries so we can follow up and avoid asking you the same questions twice | Legitimate interests |
| Filtering spam and keeping the website secure | Legitimate interests |
| Meeting legal, tax or accounting obligations if you become a client | Legal obligation |
We will not sell your data or add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to send you marketing emails, we will ask first.
04Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and handle enquiries. They act on our instructions and may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Vercel Inc. hosts this website and processes the enquiry form.
- Hostinger hosts the automation server (n8n) that passes your enquiry to our records and email.
- Google (Google Workspace): your enquiry is stored in Google Sheets and our emails are sent and stored in Gmail. Website fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when the page loads, which shares your IP address with Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the UK–US Data Bridge, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
05How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep the records we need for the engagement and for as long as the law requires, usually six years for financial records.
Hosting logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, in line with its own retention policy.
06Cookies
This website does not set any cookies and does not use any tracking technologies, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
07Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict how we use your data
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- receive your data in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email info@sllconsultings.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
08Security, children and changes
The enquiry form is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to stored enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
Our services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
